The last week in Arkansas brought not only some extreme challenges both mental and physical, but also some more amazing people into our lives. As we've said before the American people never cease to Amaze us. And the Glory of God is Ever Apparent!! Once again"Thanks!" will never express our feelings! From The Lemke Family to Indian Joe~ You all will be part of us forever!
February 29th Johnny and our team met one of our biggest goals of this journey! With the support of the Arkansas Troopers as well as The Stone Hill Ranch crew, they made it safely across the Mississippi River and into Memphis, TN :) The ride was tough and long that day, but the feelings of success were immeasurable! We are all so proud of Johnny, Sandy and Boog!
Brenda Hale of Memphis, also a survivor of GBS not only did a ton of foot work for us, but also put us in touch with some beautiful people who have provided, the support and Love necessary to continue this journey. Everything from food and board, vet care and even publicity...Thank You Brenda, we will keep you in our hearts and our Prayers.
We hope to have made some lifelong friends here in Memphis!
The selflessness is truly Inspiring! We only wish more people could see the true Beauty of God's work. Yes, what you give, you shall receive. It's Awesome!! Without all of your help; this ride, and the lessons we are gaining would not be possible! We promise to continue pay it forward. Johnny will be in Memphis for a few more days, allowing his team to recoup from the last weeks ride at Shelby Farms as they all did a Fantastic job, making many tough miles, overcoming some extreme challenges, and learning some valuable life lessons.
...And, Guess What?!?! We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Marti Smith (Boog's mama) of The Painted Ridges Ranch and Angie tomorrow, they decided to meet Johnny on the trail during their vacation, wanting to share some lovin' with Johnny, and to hug her horse of course :) We love you Marti and Angie!
